Is all this necessary?
I am unsure. I know that some sites that allow you to create a blog are preferred by search engines.
This can be tested by posting a blogpost with an unusual word.
The post will turn up in a Google Search as soon as 24 hours.
WordPress.com and Blogger.com are two of these preferred sites. Your blog will contain links to your other sites.
Links are the secondary goal, a web presence is primary.
Why do I need a new Gmail account?
Over time you find managing the business end of things from a separate email account is easier.
Gmail does a good job of blocking SPAM, especially when you are posting the email address on all of your sites.
Does all this even work?
Glass Energy Electronics did not exist until the second week of May 2011. Now (June 5th) when you do a Google for it, it has 7 or 8 of the links on the first page.

How much do you charge to do this?
I am unsure. Although all the sites are free (some are simple with premium accounts that cost), the time involved can be surprising.
A wild guess? $200 for Basic, $400 for Intermediate, $600 for Advanced.
